Do give tours of the facility that is building the new 2E in Michigan? I can't afford one, but it would be nice to see how they are built.

It is impossible forget the beauty and the fascination of
the 2F on the Monza banking's during famous 1967
1000 Km and fantastics and innovative models that race
in unforgettables 1960' Can Am challenge.
It is a must remember forever Jim Hall's team racing
history because it is a concrete example of passion,
ingeniousness and success.

Fondest regards to Jim! I saw both you and Phil in the 2E's at Mosport in '66. Marvelous! Except for the start...yes, I was spectating from corner #1...yikes! And indeed, saw you score that super win the year prior, 1965, at Mosport after a race-long chase of Brucie. And the year prior to that...well...let's not go there. Thanks a ton for all those great memories, Jim, and it's great to know that 2E's will once again be breathing fire.

Glad to see Chaparral is still rolling. I keep models and photos on display as a reminder of how great an effect a small band of innovative people can have. Hope to some day see the display at Midland and see "Continuation" cars on the track. In the mean time, any plans for a line of clothing and collectables? I'd love to match the NASCAR fans at the mall with some classic Chaparral items! Good luck in your adventures. -- Mark

As a kid, my parents took me to every CanAm/USRRC race at Riverside and Las Vegas in the 60's. The Chaparrals were my favorite cars in what I think was the greatest racing series ever. {MotoGP is my second choice}. I forget what year it was but, at the Stardust in Las Vegas you lost your wing on the back straight and it flew in the air and it landed about 50 feet from where I "was" standing. I'll never forget that.....

I regret that having born in 1964 I could not have witnessed firsthand the innovative rise of the Chaparrals from the resurrection of the Troutman-Barnes Scarab concept to the subsequent evolution of the "2" series. I have spent a lifetime since discovering the uniquely American effort of Jim Hall and the Chaparral crew and the amazing machines they have wrought. I have had the good fortune to have travelled to the 2003 Goodwood Festival of Speed and the 2005 Monterey Historics to see these incredible examples of originality and ingenuity on the track, and to meet Jim Hall both times. His grace and patience with an obviously awed fan are deeply appreciated and those memories will always be cherished. I have never coveted nor desired great wealth in life, but the chance to own a 2E, (or D or F for that matter), has made me yearn for the necessary funds to experience something so wondrous. well, there is always the old Cox slot cars! Thanks for the memories and dreams.

Have built all 6 preserved versions in 1/24 scale resin or plastic, tastefully displayed in model cases. Followed from early on, Laguna Seca May, '64, Bridgehampton Sept'66 (debut of 2E). I have a group definitely interested in buying a continuation 2E and capable of looking after it properly. Bring it on!

Congratulations, on a well conceived and long overdue presentation venue for one of the truly great "man and machine" stories of my own time. I hope you will continue to collect, organize and present historical accounts, pictures and personal stories involving Jim and his Chaparrals, as well as expand on future Chaparral Cars activities .. Jim Hall - I love the 2E!
I'm glad I kept that 1/25th scale model of it all these years - it's still in the orgional box, unbuilt. Please post more color detail shots of this car on the website so I can make my model as acurate as possible!
And please - make a 2A replica next - my most favorite of all Chaparrals!
Keep up the great work -
Keith

Please let your very extended family of friends know when and where the 2E will race. I need to plan for a vacation.
My son and I saw Jim Hall and Troy Rogers at Road America several years ago. A great time was had by all...for those that don't know many thousands of fans had a super weekend.
Best regards,
John McGowan
